  12. Take 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  13. Make ready 2 tsp Vinegar
  14. Make ready 3 cups Water

Vermicelli biryani ( semiya biryani in Tamil) recipe is an yummy, kids friendly breakfast cum dinner recipe. I got this semiya biryani recipe from my brahmin neighbour. She makes it without onion & garlic. But I used onions as per my liking.

Steps to make Peanut Vermicelli (without onion & garlic):
  1. Heat Oil in a pan on medium flame. Sauté peanuts for 2 mins and keep it aside. Put some salt on peanuts (while they are hot).
  2. In a separate pan, Add a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of oil. Boil vermicelli for few minutes.
  3. In the same pan. Add some oil (if required). Add tomatoes, salt and green chillies, stir it for a while.
  4. Add chopped veggies. Mix them well. You can keep cooking them on low flame. This should take only a minute or two.
  5. Add Red Chilli Powder and black Pepper Powder. Mix well.
  6. Add boiled Vermicelli, tomato ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce and mix well. Add salt (if required)
  7. Toss well. Add Peanuts and it's ready. Serve hot.
