  5. Add onions after turning potatoes the 2nd time. If you add too soon in the process, the onions will burn. Turn burner down to medium after adding onions. Covering with a lid at this point helps.
  6. Potatoes are done when tender and browned.
  7. I love serving fried potatoes with pork chops!

Any kind of potato will work using this method for cooking fried potatoes. If you use potatoes with thicker skin, such as russets, you may want to peel.
