- In a pressure cooker put the daal and little water.Pressure cook till 1 or 2 whistle so that lentils become soft and mushy.
- Place a pan on the heat and add 1tbsp oil.
- Add chopped onion and cook till light golden brown.
- Add chopped green chillies and cooked dal.
- Stir and add the spices and salt.The mixture should be dry in consistency.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and remove from heat.Let it cool.
- Now take a little portion of dough and make a small disk.
- Put 1 tsp of prepared stuffing in the centre of the disk and seal to make a ball.
- Roll the stuffed ball to make a small puri.
- Repeat the process to make all the puris.
- Heat sufficient oil and fry the puri in medium heat till golden brown.Try to fry them slowly to make them little crispy.
- For hummus boil soaked(soaked overnight) chick peas so that they become soft.
- Drain the boiled peas and reserve the stalk.
- In a mixer grinder put boiled chick peas,garlic pods,extra virgin olive oil, cumin,salt and reserved stalks. Grind them in a smooth mixture.
- Put the mixture in a bowl and garnish with some more oil and paprika.
- Now serve the dalpuris with hummus.
