  1. In a big wok (I prefer pressure cooker), add oil and onions. Sauté onions till light brown.
  2. Then add tomatoes, ginger, garlic and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add thoroughly washed mutton and cook for 2 minutes. Add all the spices except sugar. Mix well.
  4. Add water as required and cook till mutton is almost tender. Then add the turnip and water as required and cook till both turnip and mutton is done.
  5. Mash the turnip with the wooden ladle. Cook on low flame till oil comes up.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
