Simple and delicious toasted muesli with almonds, coconut and dark chocolate. This muesli is a healthy, homemade breakfast. Muesli need not even be toasted.

Toasted Muesli is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It is simple, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. It’s appreciated by millions every day. Toasted Muesli is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

The ingredients needed to make Toasted Muesli:
  1. Get 1 cup mixed nuts, roughly chopped (macadamia, almond, walnut, cashews etc)
  2. Prepare 2 tbs coconut oil
  3. Get 3 tbs honey or rice malt syrup
  4. Get 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  5. Take 1/4 cup seeds (pepita, sunflower etc)
  6. Get 1/2 cup dried apples and apricots chopped finely
  7. Get 1/4 cup toasted coconut flakes (optional)
  8. Get 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Serve it with low-fat plain Greek yogurt and fresh fruit, such as pitted sweet cherries or berries. Both are high in fiber and rich in antioxidants. Making this Toasted Muesli is a fairly straightforward process. You just need to combine the dry ingredients and simmer the other ingredients for one minute, before combining everything and toasting.

Steps to make Toasted Muesli:
  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees celsius.
  2. Place the mixed nuts into a food processor and pulse 1-3 times (depending on how chunky you would like your nuts to be).
  3. Place the coconut oil and honey into a saucepan and melt slowly on a low heat stirring.
  4. Add the rolled oats, chopped nuts, seeds, dried fruit, coconut flakes (optional) and cinnamon into a bowl and mix together until completely combined.
  5. Add coconut oil and honey or rice malt syrup and combine.
  6. Pour the combined ingredients into a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the muesli has just started to turn a light golden colour (give it a stir every 5 minutes with a fork so that it cooks evenly).
  7. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

It takes about an hour to toast your homemade muesli, and you'll need to remove the muesli from the oven once or twice and stir during the process. Store in a large airtight container. Toasted muesli is also great in yummy energy balls and slices. Endless goodies can be added to muesli bars - try cranberries and cacao, or maple and cinnamon.
